Improving the social assistance policies for disabled people in khanh hoa province

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyze the current status of social assistance access and expectations of disabled people who are being supported by social assistance policy in Khanh Hoa province. To clarify the characteristics of the group of people with disabilities, the method of cross-sectional descriptive statistics and sociological survey data are employed in the research. Research results show that most of them know about supports from the state, but still, a large number of people do not receive resources from the authority. What is more, the greatest expectations of this group are getting healthcare support.
