Factors affect the achievement of quality management system certification suitable with ISO 9001:2015 standards at small and medium Vietnamese enterprises

Abstract

This research focuses on factors affectting the ability to achieve Quality Management System suitable with ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) at small and medium Vietnamese enterprises (SMEs). Logit regression was used with crossectional data of 2469 small and medium Vietnammese enterprises. The results show that some factors affect statistically the QMS achievement such as competition, customer requirement, business size, business type, location, exports, business associations, and union trade. From the results, some solutions have been suggested in order to increase the ability to obtain QMS of small and medium enterprises in Vietnam.
